Here are the basic rules of Crokinole:

  1. Each player takes turns shooting their discs from the outer edge of the board towards the center.
  2. The shooting player must place one foot on the ground and keep it in contact with the shooting area.
  3. A valid shot involves flicking the disc with your finger, aiming to hit the opponent's discs and/or land in the higher-scoring areas.
  4. Each player has a limited number of discs to shoot during their turn, typically alternating between players.
  5. Discs that land completely within the 20-point circle are worth the corresponding number of points.
  6. Discs that land within the 15-point circle but touch the 20-point circle are worth 15 points.
  7. Discs that land within the 10-point circle but touch the 15-point circle are worth 10 points.
  8. Discs that land within the 5-point circle but touch the 10-point circle are worth 5 points.
  9. Discs that do not land within any scoring area or touch the outer edge of the board are considered out of play and are removed from the board.
  10. The game continues until all discs have been shot, and the player with the highest score wins.

  • Shooting a disc that does not make contact with any other disc or scoring area.
  • Shooting a disc that lands outside the playing surface or touches the outer edge of the board.
